ODC Ensemble travels to Prague
To participate in the PQ Quadrennial 2015
ODC Ensemble has been invited to participate in the PQ Quadrennial 2015 that takes place from June 18th to 28th 2015 in Prague.
PQ curators chose to present the project META (Debtocrazy Revolutions) in Wenceslas Square. META (Debtocrazy Revolutions) is an in-situ public participatory performance, conceived and directed by Elli Papakonstantinou, that questions our perception of revolution today. The project aims to engage citizens by collecting their stories on “revolution” and involving them in an in-situ remake of Leonardo Da Vinci’s “Last Supper”.
ODC Ensemble will also be part of the Greek National Kiosk with two performances SKIN and META which will be presented in the frame of Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space.
Formed in 2001, ODC Ensemble is a registered non-profit organisation company based in Athens. It is a creative team of performers, dancers, musicians and visual artists. ODC Ensemble is committed to create engaged Art and to creatively bridge activism and the Arts. The involvement of local communities and volunteers is essential to its artistic work (bringing on stage more than 20 citizens that join forces with professional artists at a time). In the last ten years ODC Ensemble has produced more than ten performances, received distinctions and awards, has been supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture and the Arts Council (UK). The company has performed in Greece and internationally.
